Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup frontrunner Tom Oliphant has today confirmed his return to the championship for 2015 after committing to another season with Century Motorsport.
The 24 year old from Leamington Spa enjoyed a strong campaign in the BRDC qualifying championship last season, finishing fifth overall and taking 11 podiums and two race wins in the in the Ginetta G55 GT4, a car he also raced in British GT, where he enjoyed a further race win and three pole positions.
Oliphant said; “I am looking forward to being back on the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup grid for 2015. We had the pace where it mattered this season, and I’m certainly gunning for the title next year. I’m looking forward to what promises to be a very busy year with Ginetta in 2015, watch this space…”
Having enjoyed a strong weekend at the helm of the Team LNT’s factory run Ginetta G55 GT3 alongside Mike Simpson and Steve Tandy at Estoril on 8/9 November, Oliphant and the team secured pole position and ran inside the top three for much of the race.
Ginetta Championships Manager Ashley Gallagher added; “It’s great to have Tom committed to what promises to be another strong Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup grid. We finished the 2014 season on a high with a large grid and have already had a number of drivers showing interest for next season, meaning fans can look forward to much more of the close racing that has long-since been associated with the championship.”
The Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup returns to the grid on 4/5 April at Brands Hatch in Kent.
