GTs, touring cars, 24h specials, protoypes: if they can be raced, Dutch agency CREVENTIC will create a series of endurance races for them. Following the initial announcement in September, CREVENTIC can now present the calendar of the 2017 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook. The latest addition to the portfolio of race series, the 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook will include four twelve-hour races in 2017. The season gets underway at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France on April 21-22. Next up is the Hankook 12H MISANO in Italy from July 7-9, followed by the Hankook 12H PAUL RICARD, again in France, from August 18-19. The legendary circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in the Belgian Ardennes will host the season finale from October 6-8. On top of that, prototypes will already be on track at Dubai Autodrome for the 3x3H DUBAI on January 10-11, an official support event of the Hankook 24H DUBAI.no12-graff_800pix

“We are delighted with the way the preparations for next year are going,” CREVENTIC’s Ole Dörlemann says. “Hankook has agreed to become our exclusive tyre supplier and title sponsor and we have a very interesting calendar with great venues. With our 24H PROTO SERIES, we particularly aim at amateur drivers, providing them with a lot of track time at challenging race circuits at affordable costs. Like this, we enable them to experience the real world of endurance racing as our prototype races are the longest races currently available for this type of cars. With immediate effect, teams can sign up for the full season on our website http://www.24hprotoseries.com/series/registration.”

With races at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Circuit Paul Ricard and Circuit Spa-Francorchamps, the 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook is visiting some prestigious venues, three of them being current or former Formula 1 circuits (and soon-to-be Formula 1 circuit again, following the announcement that Paul Ricard will be hosting the French Grand Prix in 2018). Misano is best-known for its MotoGP round, but is also perfectly suited for car racing.

Participation in the races of the 24H PROTO SERIES is possible for a wide variety of prototype race cars with many different classes. The P3 class is open for the ADESS 03, Ginetta P3-15, Ligier JS P3, Norma M30 and Riley-Ave P3 (5000 cc). The G57 class is a special category for the Ginetta G57. Class SPX is designated for special prototypes that will be admitted on an individual basis, and the Class CN Production Sports Cars is for Group CN cars with aspirated engines up to 2000 cc or 1620 cc turbocharged engines.

Prior to the start of its inaugural 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook season, CREVENTIC is already organising a prototype event at Dubai Autodrome, the Hankook 3x3H DUBAI. Currently, the provisional entry list for the race already shows 20 cars from various renowned teams. The following prototypes are expected to be on the grid: Ligier JS P3, Ginetta G57, Renault R.S. 01, Ligier JS 53 Evo2, Wolf GB08 CN, Radical SR3 RSX and Norma M20 FC. The Hankook 3x3H DUBAI will be a triple-header of three-hour races, preceded by two free practice sessions and qualifying. The first race will be held on Tuesday, January 10, from 14.00 till 17.00 hrs, followed by one hour of night practice. The other two races will take place on Wednesday, January 11, from 9.30 till 12.30 and from 15.45 till 18.45 hrs.
