2017 Sunoco Whelen Challenge winner Seb Morris has completed his first run in the all new #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-VR.
Morris’ first run on the 14th of December was highly successful with Morris quickly overcoming a new circuit, the all new Cadillac DPi-VR and the breath taking 31 degree banking almost immediately by reaching competitive times.
Morris’ crew for the Rolex 24 At Daytona has also been announced with none other than 2016 WeatherTech SportsCar champions Eric Curran and Dane Cameron. Seb will also be joined by Toyota factory LMP1 driver Mike Conway. This makes the #31 one of the strongest crews in the upcoming Rolex 24 and one of the clear favourites for the overall win.
Hopes were further boosted when the #31 was able to top the times on the second day of action 0.359 seconds faster than the teams sister #5 Action Express Racing Cadillac.
The 55th running of the annual Rolex 24 At Daytona takes place at Daytona International Speedway in Florida on January 28/29.
