Sunshine and excellent weather welcomed participants to the first Winter Testing event at Barcelona, which marks the unofficial resuming of activity: a total of 19 cars will take the track during the two days of action. Testing drivers and machines is the main objective of the 4 one-hour sessions of works scheduled for each day. An array of cars of different cars are present, with a few Challenge/Cup machines along cars and teams that are scheduled to campaign the entire GT Open season.
BMW Team Teo Martín: The Spanish squad is testing different drivers on its two M6: Jesse Krohn, Rodolfo Gonzalez, Marcio Basso and Victor Bouverg.
SF Racing: The Ferrari 488 of the Chinese squad is present with its official drivers, Fu Songyang and Andrea Caldarelli.
AF Corse: Marco Cioci-Piergiuseppe Perazzini, confirmed for the season, drive their Ferrari 488.
Spirit of Race: AF’s sister squad came with a F458 Challenge (Peter Heh-Nicola Caldani) and a 488 GT3 for Olivier Beretta-Motoai Ishikawa. This car, unfortunately, got half-destroyed in session 2 on Friday, when it caught fire on track with Beretta at the wheel.
Jordan Racing: For the first time, a Bentley Continental is present in the framework of the GT Open. The British GT Cup winning team is testing with David Witt and Christopher Stockton.
Raton Racing: The Italian teams sports a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for Edoardo Liberati-Ling Kang.
Stile F Squadra Corse: The San Marino team is using this opportunity to test with two Ferrari 458 GT3 (Jonathan Hui and Pavel Strukov) and one GT2 (Yoshiki Ohmura-Alex Palou). Tom Dillmann is coaching for the team.
FF Corse: The British squad has brought two Ferraris, a 488 GT3 and a F458 Challenge for Ivor Dunbar, Johnny Mowlem and Benamy Grimes.
Kessel Racing: The Swiss team is back with two 458 GT3 (Claudio Schiavone and Deborah Mayer) and one 458 Challenge (Peter Goerke). Giacomo Piccini is present for coaching duties with Sergio Pianezzola and David Perel.
Drivex School: The Madrid team tests with a Brazilian pair, Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair, still using the Audi R8 LMS.
FFF Racing: Vito Liuzzi and Hiroshi Hamaguchi drive the Lambo Huracan they will use for the season.
PRO GT by Alméras: The French squad fields one of its Porsches 991 Cup for Philippe Morin.
