A very demanding week of testing for Drivex in both Formula 3 and GT but it draw valuable conclusions and drivers and team members were very pleased. The results achieved by Drivex pilots at Circuito de Jerez can be considered optimum. The team founded by Miguel Ángel de Castro and Pedro de la Rosa headed to Jerez for the final round of F3 Open’s Winter Series with Russia’s Nikita Troitskiy and Brazil’s Christian Hahn behind the wheel of their Dallara F312 cars and they both made an impression.

At the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo, Drivex completed shakedown for their new Mercedes AMG GT3 and Mecedes SLS AMG GT3 cars, which were driven by Marcelo Hahn / Allam Khodair and Antonio Escámez / Jaime Bergel respectively. Despite they were taking their first faltering steps, they all scored promising lap times. Ahead, several weeks to continue working before season kick off. In the case of Bergel / Escámez, they will make their debut on 8-9 April at Circuit de Valencia, where round 1 of the Spanish GT Championship will take place. On the other hand, Hahn / Khodair will make their debut at Autódromo do Estoril at 29-30 April, which will mark International GT Open series’ first round.

Miguel Ángel de Castro: “They were three challenging test day but at the same time they were particularly rewarding. I’m pleased with our work and really proud of what our team accomplished. We made a huge step forward with our Formula 3 cars, because we managed to harness new 2017 specifications. But there is still room for improvement and we need to continue working. In fact, Nikita’s perfect lap would have been quicker than 1:34. Christian also made a nice work and displayed his talent, but it was his first time in Jerez and he has less experience than Nikita in a F.3 car. But he is also on the way to reach the top. Regarding our Mercedes cars, everything went according to plan even when it was a shakedown. Our drivers were pleased on their debut and they all finished with some good pace. But we still have plenty of work to get maximum value from the cars. But I feel confident Drivex and our drivers working together will success both on the international and national stage.”
