Australian Scott Andrews will continue forging his sports car career this weekend by teaming up with leading Danish team KEO Racing for the first round the Michelin Le Mans Cup at Monza, Italy.
Andrews will be looking to build on his success in the 2016/17 Asian Le Mans Series which saw him post multiple fastest lap times and twice qualify on the front row for WINEurasia Racing. Scott will once again drive a Ligier JS P3 LMP3 Sport Prototype powered by a 450 horse power Nissan V8 engine. All teams will run on race tyres from Michelin.
“Big thanks to Kim Olsen (team manager for KEO Racing) for this opportunity. “Obviously it was last minute so there was a high level of cooperation via email and juggling time zones with phone calls to make it happen, as it normally is with racing overseas”. Scott went on to say, “Monza is another new track for me, but I look forward to the challenge and getting back into a competitive LMP3 in a prestigious series. “Hopefully I can help my teammate get up to speed quickly and comfortably and we can have a great result!”.
KEO Racing are new to Sports Car racing and the Le Mans scene, but impressed immediately with their pace during winter testing. They have competed in the European Formula Renault Championship since 2007 taking out both class Championships in 2010. They have also competed in the Danish Touring Car Championship. Keo Racing is headed up by Danish entrepreneur Kim Olson
