CREVENTIC SERIES CONTINUES WITH TWO ROUNDS IN ITALY

Italy is next for two of the CREVENTIC SERIES powered by Hankook. The famous Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola will be hosting round five of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, the inaugural Hankook 12H IMOLA from 30 June till 1 July, 2017. One week later, action continues in Italy on the Adriatic coast with round three of the 24H TOURING CAR ENDURANCE (TCE) SERIES powered by Hankook, the Hankook 24H MISANO from 7 till 9 July, 2017. Entries for both races are still possible.

Last weekend, the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook reached the halfway point of its 2017 season with the Hankook 24H CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD in the south of France, where German Porsche team Herberth Motorsport scored its third win from four races this season, repeating its success at Paul Ricard from last year. The Car Collection Motorsport Audi finished second, the Scuderia Praha Ferrari was classified third. A fortnight earlier, round two of the 24H TCE SERIES powered by Hankook saw Spanish team Monlau Competicion take victory with its SEAT Leon Cup Racer in the inaugural Hankook 12H MAGNY-COURS, with Dutch team Red Camel-Jordans.nl completing the 1-2 for SEAT teams in second place. British outfit CWS came third overall with its Ginetta to win the SP3-GT4 class.

Hankook 12H IMOLA, another new venue

The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola has a long motor racing heritage. Opened in 1953 following an initiative by Enzo Ferrari, the track hosted the San Marino Formula 1 Grand Prix for many years and also served as the venue for many sports car, GT and motorcycle races. This year, the track in the beautiful Emilia Romagna region will be hosting a round of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook for the first time. After Paul Ricard, the battle for the overall 24H SERIES GT teams’ title couldn’t be more thrilling, with Swiss team Hofor Racing and German outfit PROsport Performance tied on points in the lead of the standings. In the overall 24H SERIES touring car standings, Team Altran Peugeot is in first and second place with its two entries. In the various classes, interesting battles can be expected as well. Of course, this race will have live streaming on the series’ website. Currently, the provisional entry list for Imola already includes well over 40 cars, but entries are still being accepted.

Hankook 24H MISANO, second 24-hour race for TCE SERIES

One week after the race in Imola, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will be hosting the third round of the 24H TOURING CAR ENDURANCE SERIES powered by Hankook. Misano, located on the Adriatic coast, is also new on the calendar of the CREVENTIC SERIES powered by Hankook. After the event at Silverstone, the Italian round is the second 24-hour event of this year’s 24H TCE SERIES and marks the halfway point of the season. Belgian team QSR, competing in the CUP1 class, are the current 24H TCE SERIES overall team points’ leaders while its drivers top the drivers’ standings. However, British team CWS is only two points down. Both teams are already on the provisional entry lost for the Hankook 24H MISANO. TCR, A3, A2, D1 and CUP1 touring cars as well as SP3-GT4 cars are eligible to race in the 24H TCE SERIES powered by Hankook. Entries for Misano are still being accepted as well.
