Drivex will contest Round 5 of the International GT Open at Silverstone. Besides, there is a novelty in the driver line-up as Allam Khodair making comeback to the series partnering his fellow countryman Marcelo Hahn after being absent in France and Hungary.

Khodair’s absence was due to other of his racing commitments in Brazil. Despite it, Hahn strengthened his Pro-Am title bid teaming up with Alan Hellmeister, who also performed extremely well on his debut in the series. In this regard. Hahn and Hellmeister took his maiden Pro-Am class win at the Paul Ricard circuit on Saturday and in addition they stepped 3rd onto the overall podium. Another third place on Sunday and his podium finish at the Hungaroring put Hahn 4rd in the Pro-Am drivers’ overall classification.

24 cars have officially entered at Silverstone to stir up emotions throughout the weekend.

The 70-minute long race is scheduled on Saturday at 15.15 (local time). On Sunday, race 2 is due to start at 13.15 (local time).

Miguel Ángel de Castro: “Silverstone ends the long wait for racing in the GT Open again. But finally it’s time. It’s such a pleasure that Allam is joining us again, following his impressive debut in the series earlier this season. Alan shone on his own merit and his performance was also amazing, as his wins and podiums prove. I think we are going to be competitive once again. We have plenty of experience at Silvestone and Mercedes also has loads of feedback with GT3 cars, so it should be useful.
