Onroak Automotive’s sporting year will kick off this coming weekend at the Daytona circuit. The French constructor will be present in force in Florida at the ROAR BEFORE THE ROLEX 24, the official test session for the mythical Daytona 24 Hours. Five cars from its Le Mans workshops are entered in the blue-riband prototype category and will take part in practice for the race which be held on 27 – 28 January. On Saturday no fewer than 11 Ligier JS P3s will line up at the start of the first round of the 2018 IMSA Prototype Challenge.

Tequila Patron ESM, winner of the 2016 event with the Ligier JS P2, is running two Nissan DPis. United Autosports will make their debut on the Daytona circuit with two Ligier JS P217s, and ASF / PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports (result of a merger between AFS Racing and PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports) has entered a Ligier JS P217.

The main innovation this season is the series’ new format – a single race lasting 1h45mn.

In addition, this weekend will see Ligier JS P3s racing in a 3 x 3-hour event on the Dubai circuit. The Graff, Speedworks Motorsport and Spirit of Race teams will fly the Onroak Automotive colours.
