Drivex will enter a second Mercedes AMG GT3 for the remainder of the International GT Open season. Brazilian aces Ricardo Baptista and Carlos Eduardo “Cacá” Bueno will join Drivex to seek strong results in the remaining races at Hungaroring, Silverstone, Monza and Barcelona.

Baptista, a 41-year-old driver from Sao Paulo, is an experienced pilot in the Porsche GT3 Cup Brazil, in which he claimed two titles and another vice-championship. Last but not least, Baptista’s impressive record in the single-make championship includes 26 wins and 93 podium finishes.

“Cacá” Bueno has a long list of achievements throughout his racing career. Bueno, also aged 41 and born in Rio de Janeiro, took nine national championships in Brazil including top tier series such as the Stock Car Brasil – five-time Champion- and the Trofeo Linea Brasil. Bueno also took the title in the South-American Touring Car Championship with participations in other international series such as the World Touring Car Championship and the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.

Baptista and Bueno recently carried out private testing with their new car at Albacete. Their official debut will take place at the Hungaroring on 7-8 July. There, they will join their teammates and fellow countrymen Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair.
