Drivex will head to Italy with great optimism with the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza hosting the second-to-last round of the 2018 season. The two-car assaults consists of both Mercedes AMG GT3 cars driven by Marcelo Hahn / Alan Hellmeister and Ricardo Baptista / Duarte Félix da Costa, four strong drivers to keep fighting for top results. Allam Khodair and Cacá Bueno have other racing commitments and it resulted in Hellmeister and Félix da Costa joining the Spain-based team.
Hahn currently lies third in the Pro-Am class on 45 points. Hahn has scored three wins at Estoril, Paul Ricard and Hungaroring, with another remarkable podium at Spa-Francorchamps. At Silverstone, Khodair made an impressive race start and Hahn was running in second place when suspension issues in his Mercedes forced him to retire. Despite that, Hahn will push hard to continue in title fight in the remaining four races of the season.
On the other hand, Baptista is quickly adapting to the International GT Open. It’s worth mentioning that Baptista is making his debut on the European scene. After making their first appearance at the Hungaroring, Baptista scored first championship points at Silverstone by finishing fifth on Saturday. Portuguese Félix da Costa is joining him in the Mercedes #41 coming into the weekend. Félix da Costa already has previous experience in the International GT Open.
Race 1 will take place on Saturday at 15.45 (CET) of 70 minutes in length. On Sunday, race 2 is scheduled at 14.15 (CET), this consisting of 60 minutes. Both races will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
