It meant his first test with the Drivex-entered Mercedes AMG GT3, which has secured multiple wins and podiums in the past two seasons.
Ling immediately showed strong pace with the German GT3 car as his lap times revealed from the first test session in the morning. Shortly after, the Asian GT driver set a lap time of 1:44.673 during Friday’s second session to secure 2nd place in the timesheets at the end of the day. Ling still made further improvement on Saturday with his 1:44.657, which drawn positive conclusions.
As it was the first testing together, Ling, Drivex and the Mercedes car still have plenty of room for improvement.
