Completing their tenth season as a professional racing team in 2019, the Paul Miller Racing crew is looking to kick off a new decade of IMSA competition in 2020 with a strong performance at the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.
The No. 48 Total Lubricants-backed team returns to the 24-hour with a strong lineup behind the wheel of their Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. The 2018 championship-winning duo of Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow will be joined by Corey Lewis for all North American Endurance Championship rounds and Lamborghini factory ace Andrea Caldarelli will be on board for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The team turned 175 laps over the three days of testing to prepare their car for the grueling twice-round-the-clock event.
“We made really good progress at the Roar, and I think all of the drivers are happy with where the car is at right now going into the Rolex and the start of the season,” Paul Miller Racing founder, Paul Miller, said.
“We didn’t go out expecting to be the fastest car, we really focused on long-run pace and a good, consistent car across all fuel loads and tire-wear possibilities. I think that will serve us well during the race, which is really what’s important.
“We have great partners in Total and Lamborghini, and a great team of engineers and mechanics to go with our great drivers. Hopefully we can translate that to a great result at the end of 24 hours of racing.”
The racing action starts at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
The Rolex 24 at Daytona goes green on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:35 PM Eastern.
“Our main objective for the Roar was to walk away with a car that was not necessarily the fastest, but was nice to drive. Luckily, for us, I think we were able to achieve both of those.
“The only thing you can do at the Roar is to try and prepare as best you can for the race. Everything will change race week, it always does, the car will be different, the balance will be different, the weather will be different, but we’ve done as much as we can now.
“We’ll roll into race week, make some finite adjustments, and hopefully have a good car when the green flag waves—and hopefully an even better one when the checkered flag falls!”
