The 2021 season of 1AIM Villorba Corse kicks off from the Montmelò circuit. The new project involving the team led by Raimondo Amadio is ready for the first round of the European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Barcelona, which will take place on the Catalan circuit on April 16-18. The Italian team will line up the LMP3 Ligier JS P320 powered by Nissan with Italian drivers Alessandro Bressan and Damiano Fioravanti and their Greek teammate Andreas Laskaratos.

1AIM Villorba Corse has already been in Barcelona for a few days now, as, preparing for the championship, last Monday and Tuesday they took part in the official test of the series. Last time Villorba Corse competed in an ELMS event was in July 2019, in Spain again, where for the first time the team unveiled the “ACE 1 livery”, finishing in the points. In 2019-20 the team participated in the entire Asian Le Mans Series taking a victory at the 4 Hours of Buriram (Thailand). The “1 AIM project” is now continuing that endurance racing program.

With an outstanding entrylist of 42 cars, action will start on Friday with the first free practice session, followed on Saturday morning by the second one. Qualifying will be held at 13:40hrs (CET). The race will take place on Saturday at 11:0hrs (CET). Live coverage will begin just before the race on www.europeanlemansseries.com.

Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal, says: “During the official test sessions we ran about a thousand kilometres without encountering any kind of issues. This is an encouraging aspect. We spent two days working hard on the car and looking for the drivers to get on well, the season will be very long. The team worked well with good weather conditions. Now there is a tough weekend ahead of us. Our strategy has already been planned and sensations are good, we are determined to hit the track in a ‘maximum attack’ mode”.
