After a week of pre-season testing, followed by the official Le Mans Cup Prologue, United Autosports are eagerly looking forward for the season opener to get underway at Paul Ricard tomorrow afternoon (16 Apr).
A record-breaking 43 cars in the MLMC is anticipated to start tomorrow’s two-hour race.
Due to personal circumstances, Andy Meyrick and the team have made the decision to withdraw from the first round. Kay van Berlo will step in as Daniel Schneider’s co-driver in the #32 Ligier JS P320.
“The ELMS continues to go from strength to strength in terms of the quality of drivers and teams we’re up against but we set out aiming to repeat our 2020 LMP2 and LMP3 Teams’ title success. We’ve a great driver line-up ourselves for LMP2 and LMP3 in ELMS as we do for our four-car MLMC campaign. It’s going to be tough in both series but everyone in the team will be pushing hard for success.”
“I’m very happy to be returning to the ELMS and MLMC paddock for another championship season. I’m excited to work again with drivers who have returned for another year with us, as well as welcoming a range of young and talented drivers. With two large entries across both series we know this year will be a challenge, but an exciting one.”
