Ginetta are set to make a welcome return to the MSA British Endurance Championship this weekend as three Ginetta G55’s travel to Brands Hatch this weekend to join a 17-strong grid for Sunday’s three-hour Britcar race.
Regular visitors to the British Endurance Championship grid throughout 2012, Ginetta’s factory outfit, Team LNT will run their G55 GT3 Car with Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson and Factory Driver Mike Simpson at the wheel.
As former race winners, Team LNT will be looking to build on the success seen at variety of rounds including the 24 hours of Silverstone as well as the Donington three hour race last season. After two victories over the pair of three-hour events, the Ginetta G55 has showcased it’s reliability, durability, agility and speed.
Simpson said: “We are pleased to be returning for Brands GP as the race sits well in the calendar and gives us valuable track time and data on the GP circuit prior to the British GT round in August and in preparation for the 1000km at Silverstone in September.”
Team LNT will be joined by a second Ginetta G55 GT3 car, which will be raced by British GT regulars Colin White and Tom Sharp; with Sharp returning from his summer holiday to travel straight to the Kent circuit to begin practice and qualifying.
As the two GT3 cars prepare to battle for class one honours, fans can also expect to see a strong performance from the G55 GT3’s little brother, the Ginetta G55 Cup car as Fauldsport’s Ryan Ratcliffe and Flick Haigh are left to contest Class Three.
With a number of well-known names and faces ready to take the wheel in Kent this weekend; its sure to be a good race for team, drivers and fans.
