Adding to his already impressive racing career so far, the current Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge racer is delighted to be part of such an illustrious club, and honoured to be awarded Rising Star status.

“It is a great honour to have been selected for BRDC Rising Star status,” commented David. “The Club has such a great heritage, and when you look through the list of members you realise just how lucky you are to be a part of it.”

“The BRDC do so much for Silverstone and British Motorsport. The support I will gain from being a part of the Rising Stars programme will be a fantastic boost to my career going forward. I am going to grasp this opportunity with both hands and not let go!”

The BRDC Rising Star Scheme is an invitation only programme open to racing drivers aged 24 and under. Scouted from trackside, BRDC Rising Stars has a proven track record of selecting only the best individuals – including that of non other than the 2008 Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.

The news further supports Ginetta’s status as a the manufacturer of choice for the future stars of sports car racers, with many current and former racers being selected as members of the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) and for the ‘Rising Stars’ programme.

The Michelin Ginetta GT SuperCup was also announced as a qualifying championship for the BRDC earlier this year.

David’s final race of the 2013 season at Donington Park will see him displaying the prestigious BRDC Rising Star roundel upon his Ginetta G40.
